Senior Class Trip to Six Flags in Lake George

Graduation Status Determined 

Monday, June 5th, 2023 12:00 Noon 

Remember that you will be able to participate in those graduation activities scheduled after 1:00 p.m. on June 5th only if you have met the graduation requirements by earning the appropriate required and elective credits according to the required distribution and if you have completed your 48 hours of community service. 

Monday, June 5th, 2023, 2:00 PM Distribution of Cap and Gown 

Enter through the Event Entrance only 

● Obligations Must Be Met. (Lost Books, Uniforms, Library Fees, Etc.) 

● Students will be able to keep the cap and gown. The gown may require light steaming and should be ready for Class Night on June 7th and Graduation on June 8th. 

● Graduation Ticket Distribution. (Each graduate will receive seven tickets.)

● Extra Ticket Sign-Up / Event Entrance immediately after rehearsal * 

* If you know you will not be using all your tickets, please return them to Mrs. Bressette in the principal office so that they may be distributed fairly to those needing more tickets. 

* From the sign-up list, one ticket will be distributed to everyone until extra tickets run out. If, after the first run-through of the extra ticket list, there are still available tickets, we’ll begin from the top of the list again in the same manner. 

Class Breakfast - MANDATORY 

Tuesday, June 6th, 2023 

Buses depart Stevens High School at approximately 7:30 AM 

Senior Breakfast – This is a MANDATORY EVENT. 

The Common Man Restaurant (Sugar River Ballroom) 

Students will be provided with a complete breakfast. 

Appropriate dress attire is required – no jeans or sneakers! 

All students must arrive at the school and will be transported by bus. 

NO STUDENT MAY DRIVE TO THE COMMON MAN.

PLEASE ARRIVE ON THE 6th WITH YOUR GRADUATION GOWN AT THE BREAKFAST. 

Following the Senior Breakfast are the Senior Walkthroughs at Bluff, Disnard, Maple Avenue, and CMS. All Seniors must be in their Gowns with any regalia they received at the Senior Breakfast. 

Seniors will then be bussed back to the High School for the Mandatory Rehearsal. 

MANDATORY - REHEARSAL 

Following the Senior Breakfast and Walkthroughs of the other District schools. Enter through the Event Entrance only. 

Students should meet in the gymnasium and check in with Mrs. Ferland for attendance. 

Following the breakfast, seniors will be visiting Bluff, Maple, Disnard, and CMS for a celebratory walk-through in cap and gowns. 

Class Night Rehearsal 

Scholarship and Award Winners must attend 

Wednesday, June 7th, 2023 1:00 PM 

Invitations will be sent to those seniors who have been identified as recipients. Hopefully, all Seniors attend this event to celebrate their classmate's accomplishments. 

Class Night -This is a class event and an opportunity to celebrate scholarship and achievement. 

Seniors Are To Report to the SHS Cafeteria at 5:00 PM 

● Event Entrance is Open For Guests For Class Night. 

Seniors Line Up For the Procession in the Cafe 5:30 PM Class Night Ceremony 6:00 PM 

No tickets are necessary for this function. Seniors are to wear their gowns but will not wear caps. There are to be no jeans or sneakers. Attire should not distract from the look of the gown. There are to be no jeans or sneakers; appropriate clothing is expected. Males must wear button-down shirts, dress pants, or dress shorts and comfortable footwear. Females should wear comfortable footwear that is easy to walk in and can wear either dress shorts, dress pants, or a skirt. Jeans in any form are not allowed, and all shirts must have a collar, no t-shirts.

Graduation Rehearsal -MANDATORY 

Thursday, June 8th, 2023, 10:00 AM Graduation Rehearsal / Gymnasium 

Rehearsal will not begin until all seniors have arrived - and, yes, we call and we wait! School rules are still in effect during rehearsals. School dress code is required, and seniors should meet in the gymnasium and check-in. Attendance will be taken. Rehearsal will be as long as it takes “to get it right!” 

Graduation 

Thursday, June 8th, 2023, 6:00 PM Location: Carr Gymnasium, Stevens High School 

Seniors Report to the Front Hallway at 5:00 PM 

● Event Entrance Opens For Guests. 

Line Up For Procession 5:30 PM 

Graduation 6:00 PM ● This is a MANDATORY EVENT. 

● A Graduation Ticket for guests is required for entry into the gymnasium. 

● Tickets must be presented at the door by 5:45 PM. Tickets presented after 5:45 PM may not be honored. 

● Guests without a ticket may wait at the door to be invited into the Gymnasium to fill available seats at 5:45 PM. 

● For those unable to gain entry, Graduation will be televised live on Claremont’s Public Access Channel, CCTV Channel 8. 

● Flowers for graduates are placed on the risers at the front of the gymnasium. These may be picked up at the end of the ceremony. 

● Please Note that Stevens High School Is A “Latex-Free” School. ● We have hired a photographer for graduation, and details to obtain pictures will be available. Therefore people cannot go into the aisles to take pictures per fire code regulations. 

Handicapped parking will be available in the Stevens High School Staff Parking Lot adjacent to the school by permit only. No Requests After June 2nd will be able to be honored. Hand in your forms to Mrs. Ferland. For those who make such arrangements in advance, there will be visible signs to identify designated parking spots. 

● Graduating Seniors are also admitted to the adjacent Staff Parking Lot on a first come – first served basis while parking spots remain. To gain entry to the parking lot through the barricades staffed by the Claremont Police Department, occupants of the vehicle will have to display a Cap and Gown. Car-pooling would be a good idea. 

 ATTIRE FOR GRADUATION

  • Students are to wear their caps and gowns. There are to be no jeans or sneakers; appropriate clothing is expected. Males must wear button-down shirts, dress pants, or dress shorts and comfortable footwear. Females should wear comfortable footwear that is easy to walk in and can wear either dress shorts, dress pants, or a skirt. Jeans in any form are not allowed, and all shirts must have a collar, no t-shirts.   We want all students to be dressed appropriately for this important celebration and are comfortable.  Remember, all graduates represent alumni, future graduates, and your family and community. 

Post-Grad Party 

Thursday, June 8th – Friday, June 9th, 2023 10:00 PM Location: CSB Community Center 

South Street – Across from Claremont Middle School 

The Party begins at 10:00 PM, Thursday, June 8th, and ends at 4:00 AM, Friday, June 9th 

The Post-Grad Party is sponsored by parents of seniors. Invitations will be distributed at the Senior Breakfast on June 6th, 2023. 

All bags will be checked prior to admission. Any student whose behavior does not follow the guidelines established by the Post-Grad Party Committee will be asked to leave the premises. 

Parade info: Saturday, June 10th. The Theme is “American Pride” 

LINEUP TIME ON BROAD STREET, HEADING SOUTH (from Stevens High School to Marion Philips): STARTING AT 9:30 AM. THE PARADE START TIME IS 10:30 AM. 

Mark your calendars! You need to set your schedule in advance to make sure you have not been scheduled to work during important events at the end of the year. Communicate with your bosses NOW.
